CraftFest 2012
Friday, April 20 & Saturday, April 21
**********************************************************************************
- This CraftFest is being hosted by Keystone Broadcasting Radio Station Corporation located in Southern Ok. Keystone Broadcasting's
stations reach over 18 counties in Southern OK.
- Keystone Broadcasting will advertise this event to the general public above all else the four weeks leading up to the event.
- CraftFest will be advertised on radio stations, billboards, cable, and television, Facebook, web-site, flyers, and yard signs.
- We anticipate thousands of attendees at least (3,000 - 4,000 per day).
- Previous craft shows at this location had over 5,000 cars pay for parking, and they did almost no advertising.
- There is no admission for CraftFest but we will charge $2 for parking which will be handled by a local non-profit group.
- KICM 97.7 plays hot new country music (60%) as well as 40% hot
pop music (Katy Perry, Adele, etc.) so our target audience is WOMEN. Our
other three radio stations are KMAD-AM in Madill, OK, which
partially simulcasts KICM, KHKC in Atoka which plays hot new country
music, and MIX96.1 in Durant, OK, which plays a mix of pop music. All
these formats appeal to women, the attendees at craft shows.
- We are using a fabulous horse barn at Hardy Murphy Coliseum for
this event. It has an asphalt floor, very high ceiling, and roll up
doors at the end of each aisle, making it much easier to load and unload
your vehicle.
- We will be using the stalls but they will be power washed and
sanitized the week of the event. The stalls have extra wide 4' doors,
and will offer vendors the ability to hang from the sides up to 8' tall.
- The stalls are new, metal panels that are held together with
long pins, which means they can easily be configured into 10x10, 10x20
or 10x30 just by taking out center panels.
- All stalls have doors that can be padlocked overnight. (And there will be security on the premises round the clock.)
- There is a MAJOR reining horse competition going on in the
coliseum this same weekend. There is also the Oklahoma – Texas Baseball
shootout taking place this weekend in Ardmore which will bring
72-baseball teams from across Oklahoma and Texas and their families.
Expected additional traffic for the immediate Ardmore area is expected
to 5,000 people.
- All vendors are responsible for supplies and equipment for their
booth. Table rental is available through Hardy Murphy Coliseum at $2
per table per day. Table sizes are 2’ X 6’. Ardmore has a super
Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby and other stores if you need supplies or equipment
once you get here.
- RV hooks-ups are available on the grounds of Hardy Murphy
Coliseum. Rates are $25 per day, make reservations directly through the
coliseum. 580-223-2541.
